Make your own inserts, its fun!

Can you belive it? I live in Swedens largest town but no one here sells traveler's notebooks or inserts??
Well its true so I decided to try some DIY and see how difficult it could be to make some inserts myself. Turns out it was easy, inexpensive and fun!
I know there is tons of tutorials on internet but I wanted to share anyway  (a bit proud that I could make them...).

Paper, ruler, knife and stapler

I took 16 sheets of A4 paper and one sheet of cardstock. stapled them together in the middle with a smart yet inexpensive booklet stapler I found.

I measure the hight of the insert and draw a line where I want to  cut.

I use a clamp to make sure the ruler dont move and then i cut with a sharp carpet knife. Dont cut straight thru, cut many times until you are thru all the sheets.


When you finnished cutting you have space to put in one more staple.

Now you fold the insert. I use a thick piece of plexiglass and the clamp to make the fold.

Measure the width of the insert and cut it the same way you did before.



Repeat the procedure with the other half of the paper sheets.
I use the traveler's notebook passport size so with 16 A4 sheets you get two inserts for your travelers notebook.

The sunny side of the street

Hello! As you might have figured out I am a guy and I use the traveler's notebook. I have the original from Midori, or the Travelers company as they call themself now. I will tell you more how I use my traveler's notebook some day but not this day. Today is such a beautiful sunny day! A leftover sledge I use the passport size travelers notebook, easy to carry in the pocket of my coat and carry with me on a little stroll on a sunny day. Some grafitti and sun Some poeple like to write on buildings, I like to write and draw in my notebooks. Anyway I had an afternoon off so I took a walk and some pictures of my neighborhood.
